The continued growth and success of chess in The Bahamas depends on all of us!

To continue to expand our programs, strengthen our national pathway, and increase our visibility across the country, the Bahamas Chess Federation welcomes passionate and committed individuals to step forward and serve in key leadership roles.

Whether you are a player, parent, or supporter of chess, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Every term we seek and appoint individuals to serve in the following appointed positions:

Social Media Manager

​​Purpose: Communications, branding, and public relations
This role is critical to telling the story of Bahamian chess and increasing our national presence.

​Key Responsibilities:
• Manage social media platforms and press releases
• Promote programs, tournaments, and sponsors
• Support event publicity and public engagement

Tecnical Director

Purpose: Oversee technical standards, systems, and innovation
This role ensures our tournaments and systems operate at a high, professional standard.

​Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate IT systems, pairing software, and ratings tools
• Support tournament operations and data accuracy
• Advise the Technical Committee and Board

Junior Development Director

​Purpose: Lead junior chess development nationally. This is one of the most important roles in shaping the future of Bahamian chess.

​Key Responsibilities:

• Manage BCF Chess for Country Junior Squad
• Coordinate junior international team selection policy
• Oversee online junior activities
• Liaise with Committees on junior development
• Develop Junior Chess business plans
• Recommend appointment of National Junior Coaches
