START TIME: 10:00 A.M.

FORMAT: 5 Rounds, Swiss System, BCF rated

TIME CONTROL: Game in 20 minutes

PRIZES – The Winner will be the 2025 Bahamas National Junior Female Chess Champion.

SCHEDULE:
On-site registration: Saturday, November 1st, 9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
 
Saturday November 1st:
Round 1:
 10:00 a.m.
Round 2: 11:10 a.m.
Round 3: 12:20 p.m.
Lunch: 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

Round 4: 2:30 p.m.
Round 5: 3:30 p.m.
 
AWARDS
Immediately after completion of round 5
 
ELIGIBILITY • Open to any BCF Member Player who has not reached her 20th birthday before 1st January 2026. 
 
ENTRY
Submission: Registration form must be completed and submitted:
  • Online until 8:00 a.m. November 1st at www.bahamaschessfederation.org
  • Select events, then select Bahamas Junior Female Champ 2025. Complete and submit the registration form.
  • Onsite in paper form from 9:15 - 9:45 a.m.

Pairings will be done automatically by the Swiss Manager software based on the FIDE ‑Swiss Rules.
 
The default time is 10 minutes after the round starts.
 
Tie-Break System:
  1. Buchholz Cut 1
  2. Buchholz
  3. Sonneborn Berger
  4. Progressive Score
  5. Direct Encounter
 
The Tournament Director & Chief Arbiter can agree to change the format before the beginning of the tournament if needed, depending on the number of players entered.
 
No mobile phones, laptops, tablets, or other smart devices (including watches) will be allowed in the play area.
 
By registering for this event, players acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the tournament regulations.

NOTE: ​To win the Junior National Female Championship a player must be a BCF Junior member before the start of Round 1.
