Report on the FIDE Funding received by the Bahamas for  Developing of Chess

The Bahamas Chess Federation would like to thank to FIDE for it its amazing assistance in 2019. Thanks to the Support for FIDE and the Planning and Development Commission the Bahamas was able to grow and made several milestone accomplishments:
  
  • We Certified 21 new Chess Trainers some of whom has already started new clubs in schools
  • We were able to successfully host the First BCF free Chess Summer camp which attracted 50 remarkable kids and ran from July 1st – July 26th, 2019.
  • We certified 12 new School Chess Instructors the first of  hopefully many.
  • 5 Bahamian arbiters successfully passed the Arbiter Advancement Seminar and are training as new National Arbiters
  • Supported the travel of a contingent of 12 amazing kids who represented the Bahamas at the North American Youth Chess Championship in Canada.
  • Several new chess clubs have been started by the new certified Trainers and Teachers with assistance from the BCF
  • We have we reached out ,to connect to more chess clubs around the Commonwealth including with 2 Chess club on Grand Bahamas Island.
