ABOUT US

The Bahamas Chess Federation (BCF) is a non-profitable organization whose mandate is as follows:
​a.  Govern, encourage and sponsor amateur chess players throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas; and to sponsor professional tournaments in accordance with the laws of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) whenever the occasion arises;
b.  Promote, in every conceivable way, chess play in the Bahamas;
c.  Maintain affiliation to and recognition by all national and international governing chess bodies as the official federation in the Bahamas for chess;
d.  Represent the Commonwealth of the Bahamas throughout the world in all matters pertaining to chess

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

​The BCF Executive Committee consists of five elected members: ​President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, ​Secretary. The President acts as Chairman and the committee serves for a period of 2 years.
