The Bahamas Chess Federation hosted an Invitational Training Seminar for the top junior chess players in the island nation on May 5-6.
United States Chess Grandmaster Renier Gonzalez was invited to personally train the winners of the Bahamas Junior Chess Championship 2018.
The sessions covered game analysis, positional analysis, basic endgames and self-study techniques.
In addition to the top junior players, the BCF has invited active school and community clubs to take part in the event.
Representatives from six primary and high schools, two urban clubs and three community clubs are poised to benefit from the sessions.
The event is graciously sponsored by the Lindroth Development Company Ltd. and the New Providence Development Company Ltd and was held at the Centerville Medical Centre.
