How To REGISTER for the Masters/Casual Grand Prix Tournaments
STEP 1. Create an account with LICHESS.ORG. Click here to sign up if you haven't already, Sign up
STEP 2. Register with the Bahamas Chess Federation. Can use the Offline or Online Form Player Membership .
This is a short form, it is necessary to protect the BCF and competitors.
STEP 3. Request to Join the lichess.org Bahamas Chess Federation team here https://lichess.org/team/bahamas-chess-federation.
IMPORTANT: The website requires that players complete a Mate-in-One puzzle before their join request is sent.
STEP 4: Once the Admins recognize the username from the form. They will accept the join request.
STEP 6: Click on the tournament in the TOURNAMENTS Area and click join.

ONLINE MASTERS GRAND PRIX
The Bahamas Chess Federation will be hosting its first 2020 Online Masters Grand Prix. This FREE event is open to all players, who are residents of the Bahamas. This inaugural event will host cash and special prizes. There will be 2 sections Masters and Casual, the top players in each section will qualify for the Online Summer National Championship.

PRIZES
The Bahamas Chess Federation will be hosting its first 2020 Online Masters Grand Prix. This FREE event is open to all players, who are residents of the Bahamas. This inaugural event will host cash and special prizes. There will be 2 sections Masters and Casual, the top players in each section will qualify for the Online Summer National Championship.
DETAILS
- There will be a series of six (6) tournaments with the players receiving points based on where they place; points are received for participation also.
- The points will be added up with only the participant’s top 4 results; in case of tie 5th and 6th result may be used.
- The Master Section will be open to everyone
- The Casual Section is for casual players and players who haven’t participated in tournaments for a while. Including adult players new to tournaments.
- The Casual Section consist of player FIDE rated 1400 and below or/and BCF 1500 and below. Players who meet the requirements for the casual section can compete for in the Masters section if they want.
- The Grand Prix tournaments will be held online using the Lichess.org website
- The Grand Prix tournament type will be Arena.
- All participants must register with the Bahamas Chess Federation. Registration is free for Online Player Members for this event.
- Participants will need to create a lichess.org account to participate.
