FIDE Master Wins New Providence Open
Thanks to the support of the of the MedNet Group, the New Providence Open 2018 was a success.
Some of the country’s top players including some top Juniors competed for a spot on the Chess Olympiad National Team.
Three days of hard competition, frustration, defeat, and victory, made up the 5 round events.
Many of the juniors got some much-needed valuable experience.
For the Second time in 3 years, the country’s highest titled and only FM Cecil Moncur took first place,
with NM Valentine Cox and Francis Skinner in second and third by tiebreak.
