Online Registration 2019 Chess School Teacher Course

The Bahamas Chess Federation (BCF) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, will be hosting a FREE School Chess Teacher Certification Course 
The course is geared toward teachers and educational staff

Venue: Online Course
Date: August 9th - 11th
Schedule:
• Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (3 hours)
• Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (4 hours)
• Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (4 hours)
• Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Exam


Professors: Jose F. Suarez (FIDE Senior Trainer, FIDE Master,)
and John Foley (School Instructor)
Participants: 15
Certifications that can be attained: School Chess Teacher (ECU and FEDA), BCF Certification. 



Course Contents:
Teaching methods: SMART® method,
questioning techniques,
game methods,
thinking skills,
code of conduct,
organization of class tournaments,
mini-games,
social formats,
problem solving,
planning terms and lessons.

Registration Deadline: August 1st 2019
Only the first 15 participants will receive the training free, register early.
Space is reserved for Family Island Teachers/ participants.
