Team Bahamas Arrives at Olympiad!

With three separate airline routes, all players are now accounted for in Tromso!  The only thing missing is the team captain's luggage, which has been missing since he left Belgrade, Serbia two days ago.  With round one starting tomorrow afternoon, we all hope that that will be resolved quickly.

A group of us visited the venue this afternoon to take a peak.  It is unbelievable!  Every game in the tournament will be played on an electronic board, which will record the moves for publishing afterwards.  That is an incredible (and expensive!) technological feat.  In each round, there will be 157 matches being played, with 4 games each.  That totals 628 games being played at the same time--all being monitored and recorded in real time.  Truly amazing.
